Was Well Known In Michigan

The Detroit Free Press, February 1, 1904

Josiah McFadden had quite a varied resume from the looks of this article. He was an assistant warden at Michigan City prison, a solicitor for The Detroit Free Press, a nurse at the Detroit Marine hospital and a secret serviceman for the Michigan Central railroad among other things. For our purposes his most relevant occupation was as postmaster at Eloise. A capacity for which he served three years.
