Quit Hospital Post, Hasn't Stopped Working Since

Washington Afro-American, August 16, 1955
I've never given it much thought but it seems rather logical that a mental health facility such as Eloise, which housed hundreds of patients, would need the services of a dentist. Dr. Leon Gant not only served on the staff in the mid 1950s but was also the first black dentist at the facility. He resigned his position in August of 1955 to devote himself full-time to a private practice. At the spry age of 90 he's apparently still in practice!
