Forty Years A Slave, Frostbitten In Eloise

James Taylor, most likely, spent the first 40 years of his life a slave on a Virginia Plantation. How he ended up in Detroit after the Civil War is another researcher's project. For us, his stint at Eloise suffering from frostbite is what matters.
