The Eloise Daily News Presents...

Detroit Free Press, June 6, 1938
It makes sense that Eloise would have its own newspaper but was it that successful where it could sponsor a party for Dr. Robert Jennings, superintendent of N Building, and 4,500 patients? Apparently. The outdoor celebration had an emcee in Paul J. McCarthy, Chairman of the Unemployed Committee, an orchestra, a magician, concert singing, movies and a softball game. The Canadian War Veterans Posts 16 and 84 aided in the ceremonies.

As for the Eloise Daily News, it's hard to imagine that even one copy survived since it was an internal publication but hopefully somebody took one outside the confines and preserved it. I'd definitely love to see a copy.
