Thought Dead For 21 Years

The Daily Courier, November 23, 1943
This story harkens back to another of its ilk that I can't seem to find right now about a soldier who was presumed dead but was later found in a hospital bed in Eloise. In this case though it seems that Samuel Cook was on the run from his family and past in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. No matter. Superintendent Thomas K. Gruber seemingly could find anybody with his many contacts in the medical field, governmental agencies and the newspapers. A case of paralysis brought Cook to his hospital and Gruber put an end to the search promptly through hus inquiries.
